Activating your Medicus Account

Purpose

When a management user adds you to Medicus, you will be prompted to follow the steps outlined in this guide to set up your account.

Account activation steps

You will receive an email that looks like this:

To setup your account and login, you need to click the link in the welcome email to create a password and set up two factor authentication to securely access your account:

1. First, create a secure password and then re-type it under Confirm password. 
2. Next, set up two factor authentication. Note: you will need to have downloaded an authentication app to your smartphone e.g. Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
3. Using your authenticator app, scan the QR code to pair your Medicus account to the app.
4. Enter the 6 digit token generated by the authenticator app.
5. Click Complete Setup - you should now have access to your Medicus account.

Expired activation link

For security reasons, the activation link in the email is only active for 24 hours. If the link is clicked once it has expired you will see the following:

Follow the on screen instructions and contact your internal Medicus administrator for a new activation email.
