Prescriber sub types
It's possible to add a prescriber sub type in Medicus.
To do this, click on the prescriber type that you would like to add a sub type for. You'll be taken to the basic details and sub types view for that prescriber type. Select Add sub type.
This will open up the Add Sub Type form. Enter the name for the sub type and select Save sub type.
Once saved, the sub type will appear on the sub type list and you'll be able to assign prescriber sub types to staff members.
Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS) Configuration
Enable / Disable EPS
It's possible to enable / disable EPS from within Medicus.
To do this, select the EPS field under the EPS settings in the Prescribing Configuration page. You'll be presented with a screen on the right hand side which will allow you to toggle EPS as Enabled or Disabled.
EPS is required to be enabled for prescription issues to be sent to a pharmacy via EPS.
EPS Dispenser settings
Click on the EPS dispenser field to edit the EPS Dispensing System Flag.
The flag should only be set to Yes if you are a dispensing practice with an EPS compliant dispensing system.
Early Issue Warning
Under Additional Options you can add or edit an early issue warning.
This setting looks at the issue date of the prescription and the due date. The early issue warning is set as the number of days before the due date. If a medication is issued the set number of days before the due date, a warning is triggered.
This warning is displayed as a banner on the prescription.
