Purpose
During the implementation of Medicus, we work with a named IT Support contact to configure your practice scanners. This user guide takes you through the steps to configure a scanner in Medicus.
Navigating to the Workflow module
Scanner configuration settings are found within the workflow module of Medicus.
To navigate to the workflow module, select 'Workflow' from the modules menu on the left hand side navigation bar.
Adding a scanner to Medicus
Once in the workflow module, select 'Workflow Setup' from the bottom of the list on the left hand side navigation bar.
Then, navigate to the 'Document Scanners' tab.
To add a new scanner, select the 'Add scanner' link.
You'll be prompted to provide a scanner name for internal reference and to select the network protocol, which will either be SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) or WebDAV (HTTPS).
Depending on the network protocol, you'll be provided with a set of information required to configure your scanner.
